Write for us
Rising Film Review welcomes thoughtful pitches about the choices that shape what viewers see and hear. Send proposals through the Contact page, with a clear subject, angle and reason it matters to readers.
What we welcome
We are interested in original essays and explainers on performance, cinematography, sound, editing and story. A strong piece might help readers follow one cinematic choice, compare two approaches or find a fresh way to watch a kind of scene.
Make the pitch specific
Tell us the central idea, the film or kind of film you would discuss, and what readers will be able to notice afterward. A precise, manageable subject is more useful than a broad promise to cover a whole genre or explain film in general.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then include your proposed title or working angle and a short outline. Please send a proposal rather than a completed article unless we have agreed otherwise. We cannot promise a response time or publication.
A film rewards another look.
A gesture, a held shot or a sound just beyond the dialogue can change how a scene lands. We make room to notice those details at an unhurried pace.
